Just before the period of moult, I charge the birds which are possibly going to the show. Definite selection of the show birds is just done at the end of moult. After this period the most beautifully birds are placed in a show cage. I am doing this generally on a beautiful sunny day, so that the birds can be established in the garden. I think it is always beautiful, to admire my birds with so much sunlight, because the seem even more beautiful then ever.
If the show selection has been done, these birds go in a separate flight, so I can watch at them. I always put an old show cage in such a flight with some weeds and apple. Because this cage has no wicket, the birds can enter it when they want.

The first show for my birds is the young bird day of the figure club. At this day you meet other bird-lovers and I am exiting about the results of the birds of mine and the others. I participate to the national show in Barger-Compascuum, the show of the figure club, sometimes to the district show, the Norwich and crest day in Nijkerk, and to the association show in Apeldoorn.
